On October 21, 2010, Place Ste-Foy marked the completion of a major redevelopment and expansion project begun in January 2008. The purpose of the undertaking was to extend the central mall from the south end out to Laurier Boulevard, add 7,000 square feet (650 m2) of leasable space, incorporate extra underground parking stalls and expand the Simons store by 100,000 square feet (9,290 m2) over three levels.
This project is the culmination of the ongoing efforts of a talented group of professionals, which included architects, engineers, carpenters, specialized metal, concrete and glass workers, project managers, construction supervisors and coordinators. The success of the initiative is in large part due to the exceptional collaboration and complementary skills of these multidisciplinary teams.
Besides the renovations, a number of changes were made to the retail mix, with big names like GUESS by Marciano, Simon Chang, Apple Store and Sephora joining the already distinctive lineup at Place Ste-Foy. Most of these new additions are exclusive to the Quebec City market.
As a result, Place Ste-Foy is proud to offer customers an even more compelling shopping experience.
